Program Description
Gun of The Month Club is a charitable raffle program that supports the charitable organization. Participants may enter as monthly members or by purchasing one time tickets. All entries are created only after a successful payment that meets age and Maine location requirements, and every credited entry has the same chance to win. Entries are valid only for the current drawing month identified on the program page and do not carry over to future months. This program operates as a monthly gun raffle. The prize each month is a firearm with an approximate retail value between 250 dollars and 2,500 dollars. The winner is selected on the 1st of the following month.
Eligibility
Participation is open to individuals who are at least 18 years of age at the time of payment, are physically located within the State of Maine at the time of the transaction with GPS location access allowed when prompted, and are legally eligible under federal, state, and local law to purchase, possess, and receive the firearm offered. The winner must complete all required federal and state transfer procedures, including ATF Form 4473 and a successful NICS background check, through a Federal Firearms Licensee. The program is void where prohibited.
Membership and Payments
Membership is a single tier priced at 20 dollars per month, called Club Member. A member may own and keep more than one 20 dollar tier active at the same time. Each active tier is treated as a separate membership for billing, entry issuance, and compliance records. Billing occurs monthly for each active tier. Online payments are processed by debit card only. Credit cards are not accepted, and transactions the platform cannot verify as approved will be declined. A membership payment supports the charitable organization’s mission and creates entries only when the payment succeeds. Monthly tickets issued from each successful membership payment apply only to the current drawing month and do not carry over to future months.
One Time Ticket Sales
Members and non members may purchase one time tickets during posted sales windows and, if offered, at designated in person locations listed on the program page. Online purchases require GPS location access and the buyer must be physically in Maine at checkout. Only debit cards are accepted online. Credit cards are not accepted. If in person sales are offered, buyers must be at least 18 years of age and payment is accepted in debit card only unless the program page states otherwise. Ticket prices and bundles are listed on the program page and may vary by month. Entries for one time tickets are created upon successful payment and are valid only for the current drawing month.
Age and Location Verification
Date of birth is collected at checkout and orders from individuals under 18 are blocked. Online location verification uses device GPS, or other technology, at the time of payment. Attempts to spoof or falsify location void entries and may result in removal from the program.
Entry Allocation
Entries for members are credited after each successful 20 dollar membership payment per active tier as posted on the program page. A member with multiple active tiers receives entries per successful payment for each tier in the current month. Entries for one time purchasers are credited per ticket or per posted bundle immediately after successful payment. Any bonus entries from referrals or promotions are credited only after the qualifying payment is completed in Maine and according to the terms posted for that promotion. All entries, including any bonus entries, apply only to the month in which the qualifying payment occurred.
Drawing Triggers, Schedule, and Location
A drawing is conducted on the 1st of the month for the prior month’s entries, and a new month begins. The charitable organization may also call a drawing at any public or private event as posted on the program page, provided it occurs during the first two weeks of the month. Drawings are conducted at a venue designated by the charitable organization and are posted or streamed at the program page. Participants do not need to be present to win.
Prizes
The prize for each monthly drawing is a firearm with an approximate retail value between 250 dollars and 2,500 dollars. The specific make and model may vary month to month and will be posted on the program page when available. The winner must take delivery through the partnered Federal Firearms Licensee dealer in compliance with all applicable laws and must successfully complete required transfer procedures, including ATF Form 4473 and a NICS background check. Shipping, transfer, and any related FFL fees are handled by the license dealer. If a winner is ineligible to receive the firearm under law, fails the background check, cannot lawfully take possession within the time specified in the winner notification, or the transfer is otherwise prohibited, the prize is forfeited and an alternate winner may be selected. If a listed promotional prize is offered in addition to the firearm, the charitable organization may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if it becomes unavailable.
Winner Selection
All drawings are conducted exclusively by manual physical drawing. Each successful payment generates one or more digital tickets, each with a unique ticket number credited to the purchaser for the applicable month. For every digital ticket issued, a matching physical ticket bearing the same unique number is created and placed into a secure draw container. During the drawing, a physical ticket is randomly selected from the container to determine the winner. Each credited entry has an equal chance to win. The Administrator maintains an append only entries ledger that links every digital ticket to the participant, the payment event that created it, and the applicable month identifier, and the physical ticket inventory mirrors that ledger.
Winner Notification and Verification
Winners are notified by email, SMS, or phone within two business days of the drawing. Winners may be required to present a valid government issued ID and complete any required forms, including ATF and state forms at the FFL. If a winner cannot be contacted, fails to respond within five calendar days, is found ineligible, fails the background check, or declines the prize, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner may be selected.
Taxes and Forms
Winners are responsible for any federal, state, or local taxes. For prizes that meet IRS thresholds, the charitable organization or the Administrator may require completion of IRS Form W 9 and may issue IRS Form 1099 MISC or W 2G as applicable. If a winner does not submit all required tax documentation, including a valid Taxpayer Identification Number or Social Security Number, by the deadline stated in the winner notification, the charitable organization will withhold 31.15 percent of the prize for taxes on the winner’s behalf. Any amounts withheld will be remitted to the appropriate tax authority and will reduce the cash or cash value paid to the winner. Additional state or federal withholding may be applied if required by law, and winners should consult their tax advisor.
Odds
The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries credited during the applicable drawing month.
Public Disclosure
After verification, the charitable organization will make available the first name, last initial, and town of residence of each winner. A list of winners will be posted at https://hitw.maineonlineraffles.com/gun-of-the-month/past-winners/ within a reasonable time after each drawing.
Refunds, Cancellations, and Chargebacks
Donations, memberships, and one time ticket purchases are generally nonrefundable once processed. A member may cancel future renewals at any time before the next billing date through their account page or by contacting support. If a payment is reversed, refunded, or disputed, any entries created by that payment are void.
Compliance and Platform Rules
Entries are created only upon successful payments that pass the age and Maine location checks described in these rules. The charitable organization and the Administrator do not sell or transfer firearms and are not a party to the firearm transfer between the winner and the FFL. The Administrator may pause, modify, or terminate a drawing or month if technical issues or events beyond control corrupt or impair administration, security, fairness, or proper conduct. If a month is canceled before completion, the charitable organization may issue refunds for that period or may conduct a fair drawing from valid entries already credited, at its discretion. Entries are tied to the specific month in which they were created and never transfer to another period.
Referral Program
Participants may receive a unique referral link when available. Referral bonuses, when offered, are credited only when the referred participant completes a qualifying payment in Maine. Any referral bonus entries are valid only for the same cycle or month associated with the qualifying payment.
Conduct
The charitable organization and the Administrator reserve the right to disqualify any individual who tampers with the program, violates these rules, or engages in disruptive or unsportsmanlike conduct.
Privacy
Information collected is subject to the platform Privacy Policy posted at https://hitw.maineonlineraffles.com/terms-of-service/. Compliance logs may include GPS coordinates, IP address, device metadata, timestamps, and payment event IDs tied to entry issuance and the applicable cycle or month identifier. Data retention periods and access practices are described in the Privacy Policy.
Governing Law
These rules are governed by the laws of the State of Maine. Any disputes will be resolved in a court of competent jurisdiction within Maine.
Rule Changes
These rules, together with the program page and any posted addenda, form the complete terms for the drawings under this program. The charitable organization may update operational details at any time. Any change will be posted on the program page with the effective period clearly identified.
